Hauser PTA is seeking a volunteer to compile the directory of student names/addresses/phone numbers. The job is done during the first couple of weeks of school. Excel/Word experience is a plus, but we have very detailed and excellent instructions from our previous director, so any computer-literate parent can do this job. Dr. Lamberson has three special advisory board requests and is looking for a few interested Hauser parents to participate.

Before and After School Care Advisory Council — The district is planning for the next school year and is interested in having one parent from each school participate in advisory council to potentially expand the before/after school care program during the 09/10 school year. The commitment is two meetings a month during February and April with a conclusion reached no later than May 1, 2009.

Communication Task Force — Interested in preparing a communication framework for the district? Two parents are needed to work with Dr. Lamberson on this important task force. The commitment is two meetings a month from February through July to develop an implementation plan for the 2009-2010 school year.

International Baccalaureate program Study Group — The International Baccalaureate program offers high quality programs of international education to a worldwide community of schools. One parent from each school is needed to participate in this long term planning study. The commitment is 6 times per year for the next 2 years. This position would be ideal for a parent of a child in Kindergarten or 1st grade that desires exposure to the district planning process.

If you are interested in these important advisory positions or have any questions, please contact Kathy Barcal (or see student directory for additional contact details).
