The Otters is a swim team for school-age students from the age of 6 through high school. The season runs from mid-September through mid-March. Otters is a competitive but fun swim team that allows parents to choose how much or how little they have their children swim. There are no mandatory practice requirements and many optional meets to choose from according to your own family schedule. For more information, see the Otters informational flyer.
Registration will be held September 14 and 15 from 7 to 9 p.m. outside the Riverside Brookfield High School pool. Registration forms are also available here and may be mailed in.

Track practice has started! Parents, please exercise caution when entering the playground/parking lot at Hauser. The safety of all Hauser students is always a concern. Whenever possible, please avoid driving across the parking lot, opting to pick up your child on Akenside or in front of Hauser instead. If you have to drive across the parking lot, please go very slowly. No one should be parked anywhere on the playground at any time unless it is in a marked designated spot (along the lilac bushes by Akenside or along the side by the church), even when athletes are not outside on the parking lot. Please do not park by the field and wait to pick up your child. Practices are held from 3:30 to 5:45. At times track athletes are inside conditioning or in front of the building doing their workouts, so please exercise caution past 6:00 pm. Our track season is very short–we appreciate your help in this matter.

In recognition of World AIDS Day, on Monday December 1, students in Hauser’s physical education classes will be walking “6000″ steps during PE class to symbolize the number of children who are abandoned due to HIV/AIDS. Since December 1 is the first day back after the Thanksgiving break, we need your help to remind your Hauser child to dress appropriately for this outdoor activity.
