Calling all Soup and Dessert Chefs!
The Hauser PE department is sponsoring a collection of pink lids from Yoplait Yogurt containers to raise money for the Susan G. Komen Cancer Research Foundation. Several years ago a Hauser student, wanting to honor her grandmother, who was battling breast cancer, suggested that Hauser participate in this fundraiser. Last year Hauser students and staff collected over 900 labels for this worthwhile cause. Pink lids can be given to Ms. Brabec or placed in her mailbox in the Hauser office.

Due to budget cuts in the Village of Riverside, funding for 4th of July festivities has been eliminated. As a result, a group of local citizens have formed a committee, “Friends of the Fourth,” to save these activities. The Friends of the Fourth are asking for donations to raise $30,000 to be used for the 4th of July events. To make a donation in person, go to Riverside Bank, 17 E. Burlington Street. To mail in a donation, address a check to Friends of the Fourth and mail it to P.O. Box 26, Riverside, IL 60546.
