Chicago’s award-winning Imagination Theater touring company will present What Now? at Hauser on Thursday, October 29. A student performance will take place at 1:30 pm, with a performance for parents at 7:00 pm. Imagination Theater uses interactive theater to address social issues, educate communities, and improve life quality for participants of all ages. The topic of the program is substance abuse prevention. Drugs. Alcohol. Smoking. Students make difficult decisions each day–choices that are often dictated by peer pressure and lack of self-confidence. Examining topics from nutrition to substance abuse, this show promotes using effective communication, building self-esteem and practicing positive peer pressure, and challenges young people to make smart choices for themselves even when people around them may not be doing the same.
