Survivor Karaoke

Posted Jan 12 2009 | Category: News

Parent help is needed for SURVIVOR KARAOKE! We need workers to help with concessions, and we are looking for parent groups to perform.

Survivor Karaoke returns to Hauser on Friday, January 23. Survivor Karaoke is a fundraising event created five years ago to raise funds for the Tsunami disaster. Since then, money raised has been sent to several organizations including “Nothing but Nets,” an United Nations sponsored organization that provides mosquito netting to families in Africa. This year, all money raised will be donated to “Kids Caring 4 Kids,” an organization begun in 2004 by an 11-year-old girl bravely facing a liver transplant. This organization raises money to help children affected by the AIDS pandemic in Africa.

Student groups will compete against each other while presenting choreographed singing acts at this after-school event on January 23. Students may monetarily support their favorite group during lunch. There is a $2 admission charge at the door and snacks will be sold. All profits will be donated to the “Kids Caring 4 Kids” organization. Any donations made during the event will be greatly appreciated.
