REEF Sponsors Tour on October 26

In celebration of the bicentennial of the birth of Abraham Lincoln, REEF* is sponsoring a tour that traces Abraham Lincoln’s pre-Civil War activities in Chicago. Included on the tour is the Clarke House Museum, the tomb of Stephen Douglas, Washington Square District, Scottish Rite Cathedral, and the site of the Chicago Wigwam (where Lincoln was nominated for President in 1860), with a box lunch at the Lincoln Park Zoo. The cost is $15 per person to cover the cost of registration, mailing and transportation. REEF is sponsoring the luncheon, docent charges and entry fees. Donations and sponsorships are welcome and appreciated. To register, or to make a donation, please download a registration form. Space is limited, and only 88 spots are available, so register early. Children 2nd grade and older are welcome.
*REEF (Riverside Elementary Education Foundation) is a not-for-profit corporation organized to enhance the education of children in District 96.
