The Hauser 8th Grade Cadette Girl Scout Troop has started a recycling program during Recreation Soccer Season. Twenty girls make up the troop and they are trying to earn their Silver Award. It was their idea to place one recycling trash can at four parks (Harrington, Swan Pond, Indian Gardens and Big ball park) where for the next 8 weeks children play soccer. They sprayed a large black trash can with Please Recycle on one side and Troop 4590 on the other side. On the top of the lid is Bottles and Cans. Each week different girls will empty the cans. We hope to have them full to the brim. If you’re at a soccer game this fall, please use the recycling cans!
