Today your child received graduation tickets. Each student received four tickets for the ceremony. Students will not be provided with any additional tickets as space does not allow for any greater number of tickets to be distributed.

Yesterday your child received the graduation gown. Please remove the gown from the bag and look it over to insure it is good condition. Please contact Mr. Wolf immediately if there are any concerns. As a reminder, no flowers or other decorations may be worn on the gown at the graduation ceremony.

We had an overwhelming response for the class gift of a tree for the 2008 Hauser Junior High Graduation class. Thank you so much to all of the families that contributed. We raised over $1,200 for this year’s gift based on the generous donations of so many families. We would also like to thank Jim Louthen for his landscaping expertise.

We are coordinating a purchase of a maple tree that is native to Riverside to be planted by the flower beds in the front lawn of Hauser. The tree and plaque will be planted prior to graduation. The gift is scheduled to be presented at the Awards Assembly on Monday, June 2.

Invitations to the 8th grade graduation party, to be held at the Riverside Town Hall on June 4, were sent home with 8th grade students several weeks ago. On the bottom of that invitation was a permission slip. This slip must be filled out and returned to the Hauser office in order for your child to be admitted to the party. There will be no exceptions. If you have not filled it out and returned it, please do so. There will be copies of this slip available in the office, or you can download it here.

If you have questions, please contact Brenda Smaller.

The student(s) responsible for this will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law and recommended for expulsion from District 96. If you have information that will assist in this investigation, please notify Ms. Berman immediately. The police will provide a presence at Hauser for the remainder of the week.
