On Monday, November 19, District 96’s Literacy Support Team is presenting parent workshops on reading. The workshops are geared to parents of upper grade readers in grades 4 through 8. Come and find out how reading changes for upper grade readers and how to support
your upper grade reader at home. The Literacy Support Team is holding the workshop twice during the day of conferences in the Hauser Library at 2:00 in the afternoon and 7:00 in the evening. Hope to see you there!

On Monday, November 19, on the Parent/Teacher conference day, the PTA will be providing dinner for the teachers from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. Volunteers to provide desserts or fruit would be appreciated. If you are able to help, please contact Cathy Louthen. Food can be dropped off in the office any time on Monday 11/19.

Parents who attend conferences will receive their child’s MAP scores from the fall testing session. Scores for students whose parents do not attend conferences will be mailed home on Tuesday, November 20th. Report cards will be sent home with students on Friday, November 16th–please look for them!

Are you looking for a way to express yourself and show others your talent as a photographer, visual artist, writer, composer, choreographer, or film producer? There’s still time to enter this year’s PTA Reflections program! The 2007-2008 theme is “I Can Make a Difference by…” Pick up rules and entry forms in the office.

All entries must be turned in to the office by the end of the school day on November 26th. That’s the first day back from the Thanksgiving break.

Hauser Junior High School presents Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing on Tuesday, November 13 at 7pm and Wednesday, November 14 at 7pm. Free will donations accepted at the door to support Hauser Productions.

Parents: Did you notice the item about conferences on the front page of the Hauser Hi-Lines newsletter that was sent home with your student? Parent Teacher conferences are being held on November 19 from 12:35 to 8:30 p.m. If you have not already been contacted by your child’s teachers and would like to schedule a conference, please call the Hauser office at 447-3896 between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
