We are looking for photos of the Hauser Eighth Grade Class of 2007 for a slide show to be presented at the 8th Grade Graduation Party at Village Hall. We would like to include a photo of each of the eighth graders. Individual and small group photos of students taken during sporting events, performances, field trips and other school events would be great. Although the emphasis will be on the “Hauser Years,” we would also welcome any preschool and grade school shots. Please indicate the names of the students pictured, and e-mail your photos to Mike and Sharon Tomecek at stomecek@yahoo.com.

Note: Non-digital photos will also be accepted, but will only be returned if a stamped, self-addressed envelope is included. These photos can be dropped off at the Hauser office.

Deadline for both kinds of submissions is: May 1, 2007.

The District 96 Board of Education on Tuesday evening accepted the resignation of Hauser Assistant Principal Dan Johnson, who is leaving to become principal of a K-8 school in Des Plaines. During his 13 years with District 96, Mr. Johnson has taught over 1,400 students. His passion for his job and commitment to our children will be missed, but we wish him much success in his new position.

As Americans, we are the owners of the public school system.

As owners, we bear a responsibility to participate in the system.

Accountability for our public schools, their safety, and their employees and funding rests with us and the rest of the system’s owners.

Our children’s future depends on the improvement of the public schools.

And this improvement depends on our participation.
