Dear Hauser Families,
Hundreds of independent research studies show that building parent involvement in education is the number one thing we can do to create a great school and improve student performance. Children whose parents are involved get better grades, do better on tests, and have fewer discipline problems at school.
The Hauser PTA is about parent involvement. In the past year, we have:
- Hosted Honor Roll Breakfasts, Family Pasta Night, Teacher Appreciation Week, Staff Appreciation Dinner, a reception for our new principal, and the Eighth Grade Graduation party
- Expanded our book fair and used the proceeds to buy books and educational materials for the library and classrooms
- Provided arts and enrichment activities via the Reflections, Little Symphony, and Historical Perspectives programs
- Contributed grants toward the Pride Trip to Washington, D.C., and the Leonard Babb Scholarship Fund
- Created an e-mail news list to facilitate better communication
But there’s a lot more to be accomplished and we need your help. We welcome any level of involvement you can manage. Whether you want to just stay informed via our newsletters, work an hour at a PTA event, run a committee, or plan a new event, we have a place for you.
Please take a few minutes to establish or renew your membership by completing the enclosed forms and returning them to the Hauser office with your other school registration materials.
Sincerely,
Mary Jo Robling
President
