Reminder: All current 6th & 7th grade students need to return their forms to select encore (elective) classes for next year. Assignment to those classes is based, to the extent possible, on the selections your student lists on the form. The forms were mailed to your homes. If you did not receive the mailing, or have misplaced it, you can download copies here. Forms are due on the last day of school, June 5!

Registration forms for students currently enrolled in District 96 schools, who will be returning in the fall, are due by Wednesday, June 10. Copies of the forms can be downloaded from the District 96 website. You will need to print the form and return the completed form to your student’s current school. Don’t forget to include a check for payment of school fees. Please remember to fill out the student directory form as well, which will ensure that your student’s contact information will be included in the school phone book published by Hauser PTA.

Encore class request forms have not yet been mailed, but look for them in your mail on Saturday or Monday. All current 6th & 7th grade students will have an opportunity to select their encore classes (those that are not “core” classes, otherwise known in most schools as “electives”) for next year. Assignment to those classes is based, to the extent possible, on the selections your student lists on the form. You may wish to review these choices with your student. Encore forms will be due on the last day of school.

The following information will be sent home with 8th graders today. The 8th graders have received their gowns and tickets. As you know, the size of the graduating class and the number of seats in the auditorium were the factors that determined the number of tickets allotted to each graduate. Tickets for admission to the Robert S. Sheehan Center (Hauser’s auditorium) are white. Please note the additional important ticket information that follows:
• If you were notified that, as a result of the ticket lottery, you were selected to receive an additional ticket for admission to the auditorium, that extra white ticket is included in the envelope you receive (total of four white tickets).
• Graduates who do not receive a fourth white ticket will automatically receive one additional yellow ticket for admission to the live broadcast of graduation that will take place simultaneously in the cafeteria. Please note: The live broadcast will be produced by the school, will be shot with one camera from one angle, and will not be television quality. We are presenting this broadcast as a way to accommodate the families of our large graduating class.
• There are a limited number of yellow tickets remaining for the live broadcast. Distribution of these tickets will be determined by lottery. If you wish to be included in the live broadcast lottery, please e-mail Mr. Wolf at wolfk@district96.org by 2:00 p.m. tomorrow (Friday, May 29). The drawing will take place Friday at 3:00 p.m. If you are selected to receive an additional yellow ticket, you will be notified by email.
• Lost tickets will not be replaced.
The auditorium doors will open at 6:30 p.m. for early seating, which is not assigned.

Please think of Hauser Junior High when those early magazine renewal notices start to arrive in the mail! You can renew current subscriptions or buy new and gift subscriptions through our school this fall.
A substantial portion of the subscription price stays at our school to fund many needed items and activities throughout the year. If we can count on your support this year, we are sure to have a successful campaign!
Please start reminding your family, friends, and business associates that we would greatly appreciate it if they ordered selections from our school through the fall sale, beginning September 11, or by visiting www.QSP.com today! (Then the school won’t lose the profit to the publishers.)
To order, you’ll need our school code: 425007607
